I have found a Giant Swallowtail! This is a rare sighting in Quebec - and there were two! I begged her to stop fluttering for this shot and she complied. I am on Cloud 9 ... Kathy (Gibbons), I think you sent her to me!! Thank you my friend! :-)

Gorgeous! I spotted 2 of these on 2 different occasions. Unfortunately one was dying on the side of the road and the other one was flitting too much and took off before I could capture it! haha! v/f

Yes, they do flit around an awful lot! I was so pleased when this one stayed still. That's too bad about the dying one - I hate to see that. I'm glad that they are coming into Canada. Last year there were sightings at the Montreal Botanical Gardens and it made the news! I never saw those so this sighting was a big treat!!
