Description
I found the shapes, colors and lines of this torn wasp nest with the dead leaves pleasing to my eye. I was surprised by the bright turquoise streaks on the nest.

What a fascinating study in texture and color. The turquoise streaks are very interesting- maybe caused by something in their diet???
Doris Potter replied:
Thank you Tim. That's an interesting idea about the turquoise streaks. You may be onto something!

F/L Boy - what a marvelous find! This is amazing and the turquoise is surprising and very lovely! I really like this:>)
Doris Potter replied:
Hi Mother Nature. I'm glad you like it as I used a different camera and wasn't sure whether the resolution was high enough. I think the abstract nature of the shot allows for more leeway. Thanks for your reassuring comments. :-)
