Description
These baby spiders looked like tiny seeds caught in a spider web until I looked more closely. They were very active and fun to watch. I believe they are either argiope aurantia or araneus diadematus.

F/L I agree with you on the possible identification - when they have gone through so few instars, ID is very tough. Excellent photo, Doris - a delightful array of tiny "seeds" for the future.

Thanks Mother Nature. I was hoping you would like these little guys. I was ready to identify them as argiope aurantia because of their yellow and black markings (I think in simple terms!) but my Internet searches were not conclusive between the two species.
