I love black squirrels, we have the grays, but I've seen the black squirrels in Canada. Great capture so beautiful!

Doris Potter replied:

Thanks Gothicolors. When I was a child we never had black squirrels and then they seemed to migrate into Quebec from the west. If you check my squirrel gallery you'll see other color variations but the black ones are the most striking to me.

Oh, such a beautiful squirrel! There used to be an albino squirrel that was a mascot at Texas Women's University. But heard he died last year.

Doris Potter replied:

Thanks for your comment Shannon. Albino squirrels are beautiful too. Sorry to hear of the death of the mascot. I hope he lived a good life.

these guys are awesome-- wish we had them around here. i guess it's a dark morph of a fox or gray squirrel? perfect composition. well done.

Doris Potter replied:

Thank you R christopher! It is a dark morph of a gray squirrel and I am always happy to find one. I liked the black squirrel versus the pale branches against the blue background. Thanks for the compliment on the composition.
