Thanks Mitch. I was so lucky because the Dragonfly was high up in a tree (only in silhouette) and then it suddenly flew down to perch in the sunshine.

Knowing you Its probably A Rare Blue striped Darner ,( Darn LOL ) I loved Your Im not sure darn Comment LOL,I think its a darner. I love this shot. and eye color to bark color , love the background blue and darners blue and detail of wings ! A+++++

You made me laugh Kathy! :-) I'm so glad you noticed the blue background because I was trying to get the sky in the background to set off the blue on the Dragonfly. I was in a difficult, crouched position to pull it off. Your comment made it all worthwhile!
