Description
This striking dragonfly looks more like a butterfly when you first spot it. It is called "Halloween" due to its coloring, and "Pennant" because of its habit of perching on stalks and swaying in the breeze. It was a windy day when I captured this one among some white flowers and it was an exercise in patience to get an image in focus!
