Thank you Karen. You know, I never thought about any danger. I think she was very preoccupied. :-)

Wow amazing capture & an amazing insect. This is the wonderful thing about photography, capturing insects & animals that most of us would never see in real life, especially for me. Awesome capture Doris

Thanks so much Debbie. This macro photography is opening up a whole new world to me.

Amazing DOF Doris. Nicely done.
Doris Potter replied:
Thanks Steve. It took a few tries before I got it in focus. Luckily the wasp was not going anywhere soon.

Now that is the strangest looking insect I've every seen, Doris! What a great capture.
Doris Potter replied:
Thanks Sue. First I thought it was two wasps mating then I thought it was two wasps fighting. It was so fascinating to know it is one animal and is laying eggs deep in the wood!

Omg, that's a wild looking insect! Awesome capture. You've accentuated its bizzareness. F&V
Doris Potter replied:
Thanks Wibada. Isn't it incredible?! I found it today and kept wondering what it was and what it was doing. My handy Kaufman Guide to Insects solved the mystery.
