I think this meaning comes through. I have a tendency to be way too verbose so I'll merely say that our shadows, so strong during our Earthly life (day), are erased at death (night), but it is the shadow that is erased; the leaf is there.

Thanks so much Carol. I'm not sure I conveyed my meaning that well though. I would like to think that our physical existence is illusory and there is a "leaf" (higher self) that is more "real".
