Description
My first time photographing a Snowberry Clearwing Moth and it was quite a challenge! These little guys move as fast as bees and flit from flower to flower. There were also wind gusts to contend with so I was happy to get some decent shots.

BEAUTIFUL! Magnificent capture! They are the very devil to catch since they are rarely still. I've been watching a couple on our butterfly bushes and haven't tried to "capture" them yet. Did you notice how they always have their front legs touching when they feed - so cute:>). Your picture is amazing:>) V/F

Thanks so much Carol. You may notice that I changed the name to "Snowberry" from "Hummingbird". I looked up clearwing moths and based on the size and coloring, I believe this is a Snowberry. I read that they are closer in size to bumblebees and there were several around which were even larger than him! Also, they have the black band through the eye and have black legs. I checked my other photos and all show the front legs touching. I do find it cute too! :-)
