Description
As I was photographing this majestic Owl, he suddenly took flight and soared silently over my head to alight on another tree several yards away. I am so happy that I got this shot and managed to capture his wing tips!

Wow, great capture. Try as I might, I've never been able to photograph owls, much less one in action. Good job.

Great work Doris!
Doris Potter replied:
Thanks Tim. I was happy with this shot because he took off really quickly and I wasn't sure if I got all of him. The shot right after this one only showed the tip of his tail.

What is is about owls that fascinates us so? Doris, this series is fabulous! I can imagine the feeling you had seeing/photographing this awesome bird. Well done! I enjoyed all of them, but had to vote/fave this one!!
Doris Potter replied:
Thanks so much for your kind words and vote and fave! My heart was racing during the entire photo shoot.
