About Doris Potter
My passion is to express Nature's beauty through photography. I am self-taught and like things simple. Thus, photo manipulation is kept to a minimum. The intrinsic beauty of our natural surroundings does not need enhancing; only revealing. All photos of wildlife have been taken in the wild and involve no staging. Cool color. I would have mistaken it for some tiny Iris bloom.

Lovely photography! These abound by our dirches and in damp locations, and we do use them (leaves) crushed and rubbed onto our skin to help with contact with poison ivy until we can get to a place to wash off the poison ivy oil. Some folks pooh-pooh that as an "Old Wive's Tale" and true, it isn't fool proof, but it does help:>) V/F
Doris Potter replied:
Thanks Mother Nature. I think I read on Wikipedia about the anti-poison ivy use. If it can help, why not use it, right?

Doris Potter replied:
I didn't think of that but it does look like an orchid! Thanks Joseph.
